Modern Architecture: Dynamic tower in Dubai

I am sure that Architecture in Dubai is the most modern. In one of my previous topics I disscussed the new possible project of dancing buildings. It is an amazing project with interesting form. But in all the cases it is simple building. But the tower which I am going to disscuss now is something completely different and not only because of its architectural shape but because of its “physical” uniquness. I am talking about Dynamic tower in Dubai which is not just staying in interesting position but also moving!!

I think it is clear that I was surprised a lot when I first hear about this building. Immidiately I began to find out any information related to that future miracle of art. In fact I find out small movie in youtube and after  watching that I delighted more.

 

So this is not three buildings on sequential blocks.  That is the same building.  Designed by Italian architect David Fisher, this building has floors that rotate independently.  The building will constantly be changing shape.  A building where floors rotate independently – fantastic innovation!

After 30 minutes of admiration I wanted to understand how architect planned to build such a tower, and after findout such an information I admire another 15 minutes:)  This building is going to be made in a completely new way from point of civil construction.  The only part of the tower that will be manufactured on site is the massive core that will keep the whole thing standing.  In this core, you’ll have your plumbing, electricity and elevator banks.

 

Though each of the 80 stories will have a different floor-plan, above is the standard layout with rooms coming off a circular corridor. This is a pre-fabricated building.  Each one of those parts you see above that’s affixed to the main column will come out of an Italian factory, be put on a truck and delivered to the site where it will be hooked onto the column.  The pieces will be affixed together to complete the story. 

 

So again and again I want to repeat: Dubai is the perfect place for really talanted architects to impress their ideas and thoughts, I hope that this building will be constructed and it will motivate other genious artists to do their best to became a part of city of 22nd century-Dubai.
